Seller Success Tips began when I started my own business in 2010.

I opened Sugared Beauty, LLC right here on Etsy, selling my handmade skin care and natural beauty products. I laugh when I think about first photos I took and descriptions I wrote, hoping someone, somewhere would see the beauty beyond my words and purchase one of my products.

I was hungry for ways to grow Sugared Beauty into a successful business, and I practiced writing and rewriting my descriptions and took many (oh so many!) photos to improve the translation of my products onto your screen.

In the last two years, I have seen a huge payoff from those efforts. In March of 2012 I won a small business grant to help take Sugared Beauty to the next level, and I credit that award with my ability to write well and express myself and my business.

Soon, fellow crafters and artists began asking me for ways to improve their Etsy shops. We would meet over coffee and I would take a look at their shop and point out ways they could tweak and improve their descriptions, photos and even tags and titles. I even helped a few get their brands represented on Facebook and Twitter.

After seeing their shops take off, it became clear that I wanted to branch out and help anyone else I could. The logical place to set up shop was, of course, right here on Etsy.
